The arena brand was created by Horst Dassler, sports visionary, son of the adidas founder and CEO of adidas France. During the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, he saw Mark Spitz make history by winning 7 gold medals.
Together with the rest of the world, he marvelled at this athlete who was the first ever to win 7XGold during only one Olympics and at the same time set 7 new world records. Horst Dassler was thrilled and immediately made plans. This was the birth of arena.

arena's goal is to support its athletes as best as possible in fulfilling their dreams. No matter whether they want to stand on the winner's podium or beat their personal best time.
In 40 years of company history, it has succeeded in creating a symbiosis between athletes and products.
