Kay Bojesen

Kay Bojesen was a Danish silversmith and designer who is best known for his iconic wooden toys. His designs are characterised by clean lines and a playful aesthetic that appeals to both children and adults.

One of his best-known works is the wooden monkey, which was designed in 1951 and has since become a design classic. In addition to the monkey, Bojesen created other animal figures such as birds, elephants and bears, all of which bear his unmistakable style.

Today, his designs are continued and produced by the Kay Bojesen Denmark brand. The products are available in design shops worldwide and are considered collector's items for lovers of Scandinavian design.
