Each piece in this collection comes directly from the hands of the artisans we work with - energetic, colorful and purposeful. Every luscious curve you discover is the handprint or signature of the master weaver who expertly crafted your basket by hand. We celebrate the unique differences in each piece of art.
Baba Tree baskets are handmade in Bolgatanga, Ghana, using traditional craftsmanship. A basket of this size takes an experienced weaver 4-5 days to complete. Baba Tree craftspeople are paid a fair wage and also receive a commission when one of their works is sold.

The Baba Tree Basket Company is known for the best Bolga baskets of their kind. What we particularly like is that Baba Tree is striving for a new model of ethical production of African craftsmanship that sees us all as partners in an ongoing global transformation.
The beautiful baskets are hand woven in Ghana by craftsmen of the Baba Tree Basket Co. The weavers are fairly paid for their work and receive an additional commission for each basket sold. Baba Tree baskets are not only decorative and functional, very durable and robust, they complement our living area and bring a piece of Africa into our home.
