The sporty arena Icons bikini of the arena Icons collection is ideal for regular swimmers. The highly chlorine-resistant MaxLife Eco material with integrated UPF50+ UV protection is extremely quick-drying and durable. This eco-friendly evolution of arena's MaxLife fabric contains at least 50% recycled polyester derived from PET bottles. In addition, the fabric's production process has been optimised to save energy, reduce CO² emissions and reduce water consumption. With open back solution for maximum freedom of movement, optimal water feel and reduced water resistance. The top with crossed straps offers a secure hold while swimming. The bikini bottoms can be easily adjusted via the internal drawstring for optimal fit. With a lined front for a comfortable feel. The fashionable design was inspired by the classic arena team stripe. The arena brand was created by Horst Dassler, sports visionary, son of the adidas founder and CEO of adidas France. During the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, he saw Mark Spitz make history by winning 7 gold medals.
Together with the rest of the world, he marvelled at this athlete who was the first ever to win 7XGold during only one Olympics and at the same time set 7 new world records. Horst Dassler was thrilled and immediately made plans. This was the birth of arena.
